Casting Lessons (Fly Fishing)

Fly Casting Lessons at Johnson's Beach

Lessons are for all skill levels and focus on casting mechanics, line control and presentation. Beginners typically start with at least two one-hour lessons on land before moving to the water, and many anglers are most prepared to fly fish after three.

Short, structured lessons give steady progress instead of cramming too much into one session, so you are confident when you step onto the boat.

  • Fly Casting Lesson (1 hour): $75
  • Fly Casting Lessons Package (2 x 1 hour): $120

DIY Beach Trips

Beach and Flats Fishing, No Boat Needed

3.5 hours for $300, for 1 to 2 anglers. Add a third angler for $75.

Expert guidance without a full charter. Your guide walks the beach with you, helping you read the water, spot productive areas and adjust your setup as conditions change. You will also wade the shallow grass flats, where sight fishing for cruising fish is at its best, with coaching on casting, bait selection and strategy for different species along the way.

You leave with the knowledge and confidence to keep fishing on your own: just you, your gear and the water.
